My nickname comes from my name, Fernando. I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I was born in 78. I'm currently studying and working. I have a big passion for cinema (see the list of films I've seen below), some tv series and rock music in general. In this blog I write mainly about my useless thoughts, likes and dislikes and my pathetic life. Nothing very interesting, really!

I wish

My big wish right now is to have a laptop. I can't afford one at the moment (probably never will be), fact which does not make me want it less. As time goes by I want more and more...

What is making things worse is that I've got friends who already have one and as I see them using it, the following thought doesn't live my mind: "Damn! Why I'm the only who still haven't got one of those? Why?"

I thought about eBay since I have paypal credits, but the s&h would be too expensive. I also thought of "Mercado Livre" (Brazilian ebay), but prices are pretty much the same as in real shops and the do not offer any payment advantages at all. And I'm not willing to buy an used one, only and if only I knew the person who I was buying it from.

Could I sell my desktop? Yes, I could. But I won't. I need it for heavey stuff (which most of them is crap, but I do care about my crap) and even if I sold my desktop, the money wouldn't be enough to buy a new laptop. At least THE laptop I want. And no, I'm not being very demanding. I jus want a new/good laptot with average speed and loads of ram memory in it because I tend to open several heavy softwares (and not use a single one), watch films, talk on msn and browse the net, all at the same time. The physical space is the least importante, simply because it would not be a problem since I would be keeping my desktop. And the 2 computer would be connected through a simple wireless network.

Simple as that. But still...
