My nickname comes from my name, Fernando. I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I was born in 78. I'm currently studying and working. I have a big passion for cinema (see the list of films I've seen below), some tv series and rock music in general. In this blog I write mainly about my useless thoughts, likes and dislikes and my pathetic life. Nothing very interesting, really!

Vista

I got the Windows Vista installation cd and put it on my desk. I was staring at it for a few hours, having big doubts wether to install it or not. Then I simply thought: wtf, why not? So I started the upgrade process, it said it could take several hours. And it took! It took the longest 6 hours of my life (for you to have an idea it takes a bit more than 5 hours to go to São Paulo by car). Anyway, the upgrading process was complete. Win Vista is so cute but so damn heavy. For a moment I thought it was the dumbest thing having installed it, but the shit was done, you know what I mean? Well, I disabled a few things here and there (like the side bar for example), cleaned the hd a little bit as well as my desktop and things are good now, not great but good. My pc still suffers a little bit to run it and that's why I've just ordered another 512mb memory card (I currently have 768mb) on ebay. Hopefully it will arrive soon. I'm also thinking of buying a better processor, but this can wait a bit longer, I think.
